Project goal:

The aim of the project was to enable Universities to be one of the key players in facilitation of the processes of mediation in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine to enhance democracy and objective problem resolution by acquiring best European practices.

Specific project objectives:

1 To develop and implement Master's degree program "Mediation".

2. To establish sustainable Mediation Federation.

3. To promote mediation values within the society in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine.

In the process of the project implementation the project goals changed into the following:

1.Develop and implement Master's degree program in Mediation at Ukrainian HEIs and Khazar, Module at Georgian HEIs, courses at GSU

2. Establish sustainable mechanism or unit: Mediation Federation in Ukraine; cooperation with newly established government Mediation Structures in Georgia and Azerbaijan, Mediation centres at KROK, CHNU, BSU and GSU, International Mediation organization creation,uniting all partners and involving other partners from different countries

3. Promote mediation values

Achieved results :

1. Programs in Mediation are implemented at 7 HEIs.

2. Qualified staff.

3. Mediation Federation, Mediation Centre, cooperation with state mediation organization is developed at each Partner country.

4. Methods/ action plan of promotion of mediation values into the society of Ukraine, Georgia and Azerbaijan.

5. Qualified specialists-mediators, able to resolve disputes peacefully.

6. HEIs became one of the key players in facilitation of the processes of mediation, enhancing democracy, objective problem resolution.
